Deborah Anne Brady;
I am a former Fleet Street photographer who worked for the London national newspapers, covering news, sport and features. I spent 15 years in the industry, starting on the Today (first colour) newspaper before going on to the Daily Mirror, Sunday Express and finally ending up as an assistant to the picture editor of the Times national newspaper.
After 15 years in the business I decided on a complete change of direction, and followed a very different career - countryside management. Since then I have returned to my photography by setting up my own business, Picture This! running photographic courses from my home as well as giving lectures and talks all over the country about my life as a photojournalist.
The photographs displayed in this gallery are a selection of some of my recent work which have been recently exhibited in local galleries. My love of using black and white has been influenced by my previous photojournalism career and the great documentary photographers of past decades.
If you are interested in any further information regarding my photographs or are interested in any of my courses, contact me by
